In the spring of 2003, students in the Project Apprentice to History (PATH) program began independent research projects that in some cases lasted throughout the summer and into the fall. These students made trips to Boston during their summer vacation, visiting such research institutions as the Massachusetts Historical Society, Boston Athenaeum, and the State House Library’s Special Collections.
In the fall of 2003, students in the Primary Research Through the History of Beverly class also began research projects from materials that sparked their interest on the website.
The results of their research were presented at the Downtown Boston Harvard Club on February 9, 2004, overlooking the neighborhood of Beacon Hill and what was once the West End. Click here to see the results of their research!
