Know all men by those presents that J. Andrew Elingwood of Beverly in the county of Essex & province of the Massachu setts bay in New England husbandman with the consent of Elizabeth my wife in consideration of the sum of one pound & four Shilling Lawfull money to me in hand paid at the delivery of this by Joisah Lovett Jr. & Richard Ober and Samuell Shorter a committee of Mackerel Cove Destict, of Beverly the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge my self therewith to be fully satisfied & paid, have sold & conveyed & do by these presents sell and convey & confirm unto said comm- ittee and their heirs & assigns for ever a certain piece of Land to the westward of said Ellingwood house joining the Road twenty Eight foot Northerly from the Road joining on said Ellingwoods Land then westerly twenty Eight foot then southerly twenty Eight foot then twenty Eight Easterly on the Road to the first mentioned bounds for to sett a school house on for the use of such proprietors as shall build said house & I the said Andrew Ellingwood for my self my heirs executors or assigns or administrators do covenant & Engage by these presents to warrant and defence the above named piece of Land to said committee their heirs & assigns forever for the use of said persons as shall Build said house, against all Lawfull Claims whatsoever, in witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of August in the Eighth year of his majestys Reign 1768 Witness Signed} Mark Woodbury & Sealed} Andrew Elingwood E ra Ober ?
